Where do we park, and what's the Recreation Passport?
Parking is inside Maybury State Park, near the Oak Picnic Shelter. Michigan state parks require a Recreation Passport (or a daily entry permit) at the gate — please have one ready when you arrive.
What time should we arrive?
The celebration begins at 4:00 pm, with dinner served at 4:45 pm, under the Oak Picnic Shelter.
Will it be outdoors?
Yes — the Oak Picnic Shelter is open-air and covered, so we'll be outdoors but sheltered. It's an October evening, so please dress warmly.
What should we wear?
Semi-formal. It's an outdoor October evening, so we'd suggest bringing a warm layer for later.
Are kids welcome?
Yes — children of immediate family are warmly welcome. Your invitation will show each child individually so you can let us know who's coming.
